Woman shot dead by daughter’s ex-boyfriend

New Delhi. A 55-year-old woman was shot dead by her daughter’s ex-boyfriend in North Delhi’s Shastri Nagar area. Officials gave this information on Thursday. According to the police, at around 4:02 pm on Wednesday, the police control room received a call about a woman being injured in Sarai Rohilla police station area, following which a police team was rushed to the spot. “On arrival, it was found that the victim, Poonam, was shot by Ankit Kaushik, a resident of Shahdara, who is her daughter’s ex-boyfriend,” said a senior police officer. A case has been registered under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code, the officer said. The officer said that raids have been started to nab the accused. The case is being investigated.
