Bokaro: Anisha Parveen, a woman who was burnt by flames amid a fight over a land dispute in Bokaro on Wednesday, has died during treatment. His son alleges that 15-20 people who attacked the house over a dispute over eviction of the house sprinkled diesel on him and set him on fire. This incident took place in Bansgora of Marafari police station area of Bokaro. The video of the woman surrounded in flames has gone viral.
Tension spread in the area as soon as information about the woman’s death was received on Thursday morning. The police have converted the entire area into a cantonment. While the woman’s son is alleging that she was burnt by the attackers, based on the viral video, the police say that the woman is seen setting herself on fire. Bokaro SP Priyadarshi Alok said that investigation is being done to find out the truth of the incident. The matter is a family and land dispute. A case has been registered against four people in the police station.
According to the woman’s son Mujab Ali, 15-20 people attacked the house on Wednesday afternoon. There were some women also among them. They were pressurizing to vacate the house. His mother was not at home at that time. When she arrived after some time, oil was sprinkled on her and she was set on fire.
Son Mujab Ali tried to save his mother. Both his hands have also been burnt. The woman was first taken to Sadar Hospital. Due to lack of arrangement for burn unit there, he was referred to Bokaro General Hospital, where he died during treatment late on Wednesday night.
