Woman was making liquor at home using heater, excise officer raided

Korba. A woman living in Churi has been arrested on charges of making liquor and sent to jail. It is being told that the woman had converted the house of her disabled neighbor into a liquor manufacturing factory. This came to light when the Excise team raided. During the search the team recovered 50 liters of Mahua liquor.

Actually, the Excise Department was out on patrol regarding the sale of drugs including illegal liquor. During this time the informer informed about a woman making liquor on a large scale. On the information of informer, police raided the house of Jarhu Yadav living in Chhuri. There a woman named Anuradha Kevat, who lives in the neighbourhood, was making liquor.

During interrogation, it was revealed that taking advantage of Jarhu’s disability, the woman had prepared his house as a liquor manufacturing factory. The team seized 50 liters of Mahua liquor from the room. Mahua Lahan was kept on a large scale in the same room. As soon as the Excise team started the destruction of Lahan. Due to this, a strong stream of water mixed with Mahua flowed inside the house.
