Women who stole jewellery were arrested, caught with the help of CCTV cameras
Janjgir-Champa news. 2 women have committed a theft in a jewelry shop in the district. Both the women came as customers. They stole a pair of anklets and four toe rings and ran away. This incident has been captured in the CCTV camera. The incident is from Balouda Police Station area. According to the information received from the Balouda police station in-charge, Mahadev Mali, a resident of Sonar Para Balouda, had lodged a report. On July 7 at 11.30 am, 2 women came to buy jewelry. Both started looking at silver anklets and toe rings. They left saying that they did not like them.

A case was registered in Balouda police station under section 305 BNS. A team was sent to arrest the female accused, where the search was being done. After identifying the women on the basis of CCTV cameras, Maya Chauhan and Punita Chauhan were caught. Both are residents of Koni of Ghutku police station.
After being taken into police custody and questioned, they confessed to the theft. One stolen anklet and four toe rings worth Rs 18,000 have been recovered. Both the women accused have been sent on judicial remand.
