Women’s white-ball squad announced for multi-format series against South Africa
Australia have announced a 15-player women’s squad for the white-ball phase of their first multi-format series with South Africa, with no changes made to the squad that just returned from the India tour.
Alyssa Healy will lead an experienced Australian team to play three T20Is and three ODIs before concluding the series with a historic first Test against South Africa.
The squad for the Test will be announced after the first ODI on 3 February.
“The squads for the upcoming T20s and ODIs are similar to the teams that have recently toured India,” said Shawn Flagler, CA’s head of performance (women’s cricket) and national selector.
“As was the case in our home series against the West Indies in October, Grace Harris is only part of the squad for the T20s and will be replaced by Alana King for the ODIs,” Flagler said.
The three T20 matches will be played on January 27, 28 and 30, with the first two taking place at Manuka Oval in Canberra, while the third and final T20 will take place at Hobart’s Blundstone Arena, followed by ODI matches in Adelaide and Sydney on February 3. ,7 and 10
