Yaba tablet worth Rs 50 lakh seized in Karimganj, one arrested

Assam: Assam Police in Karimganj seized banned drugs worth Rs 50 lakh from an autorickshaw area on the National Highway in Sargola area on November 17.
According to sources, a police team searched an autorickshaw bearing registration number AS 10 C 2940 and seized intoxicating Yaba pills in 48 packets. About 9600 Yaba pills weighing 1060 kg were recovered from a person named Niaz Uddin.
Niaz Uddin was caught by Karimganj Sadar Police for questioning.
