Yet another row threatens to embroil Gaude
Yet another controversy has appeared to embroil Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude as an audio clip shows the ST leader threatening tribal welfare director Dasharath Redkar.
In the audio clip, Gaude is heard abusing Redkar for organising a programme for ST community in his Priol constituency without taking him into confidence.
Redkar is also a member secretary of the Goa Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. In the viral audio clip, Gaude is purportedly heard telling Redkar to convey to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and assembly Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar that the programme would not take place in his constituency.
The audio clip appeared hours after the Chief Minister and state BJP president Sadanand Shet Tanavade tried to broker peace between Tawadkar and Gaude.
Both ST leaders have been at loggerheads after the Speaker made graft allegations against Gaude.
Redkar had called the minister to invite him for the programme in Priol constituency, which was organised by the commission in association with an NGO.
It appears that Gaude was upset as he had not been taken into confidence before finalising the programme.
Redkar can be heard in the clip requesting the minister not to speak in a filthy language, warning Gaude that he would convey the misbehaviour to the chairperson of Goa Commission for SC/ST.
Gaude is heard accusing tribal welfare director of sidelining the United Tribal Associations Alliance while organising programme by the commission.
