Young man roaming with knife in old colony arrested
Raipur. On the direction of Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh and under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police West Daulat Ram Porte, Additional Superintendent of Police City Lakhan Lal Patle and the supervision of City Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dewangan, to effectively curb crimes, operations are being conducted against knife-wielders and thieves. Under the campaign, the work of Purani Basti police station was successful in arresting a knifeman who was illegally possessing a knife.
The details are as follows: Information was received from the informer that near Sulabh toilet Bhata village, a person was illegally possessing a sharp knife. On the information of the informer, the said accused immediately rushed to the spot fearing that some serious crime might take place. On arrest and search, an illegally sharpened knife was found in the possession of the accused. Crime number 210/2024 Section 25 Arms Act was registered against the accused. Accused Gajendra Yadav, father Sukhnandan Yadav, age 25 years, resident of Lohar Chowk Bhata village, police station Purani Basti, district Raipur. Chhattisgarh was arrested and sent to judicial custody.
