Young man selling cameras on the road turned out to be a master thief, police revealed his exploits

Durg: Police have arrested 7 people of a vicious theft gang. The accused used to carry out the incidents by roaming around in racing bikes. Along with this, 3 buyers have also been caught. Materials worth Rs 64 lakh have been seized from the possession of the accused.

In fact, incidents of theft were happening continuously in many police station areas of Durg. SSP Ramgopal Garg took these incidents seriously. The SP formed a joint team of police station and ACCU. The team started examining the CCTV footage installed at the incident sites and interrogating the people nearby. Meanwhile, the police came to know from the informer that Rungta was searching for customers to sell digital cameras near College Kurud on a motorcycle. After this information, the police caught Saqlain Khan, Moh Sayan, Farhan Khan from the spot. On strict questioning, the accused confessed to committing Nakbajan in Kailash Nagar, Housing Board, Laxmi Vihar Jamul, Panchsheel Nagar and Vasundhara Nagar, Old Bhilai, Triveni Nagar Smriti Nagar and Hari Nagar Mohan Nagar areas.

The police seized cash, jewelery and other items at the behest of the accused. Similarly, it was found out about Vishal Singh, a resident of Camp-1 Cantonment, that he was looking for a customer to sell his watch and camera. The police caught the accused from the spot and on his information, Goldie was also arrested along with him. Both of them together confessed to committing theft in Mohan Nagar, Scindia Nagar, Saket Colony, Khursipar. Many items including jewelery were seized from the possession of the accused.
