Young man was roaming around with chapad, arrested
Mahasamund: A young man roaming around with a chapad has been arrested. Police received information from the informer that a person is roaming near Bichhiya Chowk with a sharp dog and threatening people. On verification of the information, P.R. 201 Prasanna Swai along with Hamrah Staff Constable 638, 606 and Hamrah Staff surrounded the place mentioned by the informer. Kiye, who was threatening the passers-by with a dog in his hand, was surrounded and caught.
When asked about name and address, he told his name as Uttar Kumar Rai, father Khemraj Rai, age 19 years, resident of village Santpali police station Saraipali. An iron sharp dog was seized from the possession of the accused in front of the witness. The act of the accused was found to have committed a crime under Section 25, 27 Arms Act and since the crime was non-bailable, the accused was arrested and a crime number 224/23 Section 25, 27 Arms Act was registered in Police Station Saraipali and taken under investigation. Head constable Prasanna Swai, constable Prakash Sahu, Hitesh Sahu and the entire staff of police station Saraipali contributed in the entire proceedings.
