Youth arrested, accused of illegally uploading Oriya film content on YouTube

Berhampur: The Crime Branch of Odisha Police today arrested a youth for uploading the original content of Oriya film ‘Ram’ on YouTube without permission. According to Crime Branch IG Shefin Ahmed, actor and producer of the film ‘Ram’ Arindam Roy had filed a complaint that a person has uploaded the original content of the film ‘Ram’ on YouTube and Telegram without permission. Acting on Roy’s allegation, the crime branch started investigation and arrested the accused, identified as water plumber Sibaram Pradhan, the IG said. Meanwhile, sources said that the cyber crime wing of the state police is interrogating the accused by taking him on remand after his arrest.
