Youth arrested for selling liquor in Baron market

Raipur: A young man has been caught selling liquor in Baron Bazaar. Kotwali police had received information from an informer that in Baron Bazar Raipur, behind Chhattisgarh College, a person of normal height, dark complexion and dark complexion was selling illegal liquor in his house.

On which a person named Gopichand Nihal was found selling illegal liquor near his house. Accused Gopichand Nihal presented a white sack near the door of the house in which (1) 21 pieces of Goan English Liquor, each Pauwa, was found filled with 180 ML of liquor. Since the act of the accused was found to be under Section 34 (2) of the Chhattisgarh Excise (Amendment) Act 2002, due action was taken and he was sent to jail in judicial custody.
