Youth arrested for selling liquor near petrol pump

Raipur: Khamtrai police has arrested the liquor seller. According to the information, the police received information that a person was illegally selling liquor in a green colored plastic bag at Ring Road No. 2, Gondwara, near Reliance Petrol Pump. On which, under the direction of senior officers and under the leadership of station in-charge Khamtrai, the team of police station Khamtrai raided the place told by the informer and after searching the bag kept by the team members from the accused Ghanshyam Chandel alias Kishan, 32 pauvas of country liquor spice in the bag. Liquor was found to be in possession.

On demanding valid documents from the accused in relation to possession of liquor, efforts were being made to mislead the team members by not presenting any document by him. On which accused Ghanshyam Chandel alias Kishan was arrested and illegally kept from his possession total 5.760 bulk liters of country spice liquor worth Rs 3,520/- was seized against the accused in Thana Khamtarai crime number 763/23 Section 34(2) Excise Act Action was taken by registering the crime of Excise Act.
