Youth arrested with lakhs of rupees, GRP took major action

Satna: GRP has taken major action at Satna railway station in Madhya Pradesh. GRP police has arrested a youth with a bag full of notes. GRP police has seized Rs 8 lakh 20 thousand and informed the Income Tax Department. At present the Income Tax Department team has started taking further action.

In fact, on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, at around 3 o’clock, Satna GRP caught a young man with a bag full of notes from platform number 2 of the railway station. During interrogation, he told his name to be Chanchal Parwani, father Ashok Kumar Parwani, resident of Agra (UP). Cash worth Rs 8 lakh 20 thousand including 1603 notes of Rs 500, 46 notes of Rs 200 and 93 notes of Rs 100 were found in his bag.

GRP outpost in-charge Sub Inspector LP Kashyap said that the GRP team was on night patrolling on the platform. Meanwhile, the young man was seen running with the bag. His activities were suspicious. He was stopped and interrogated. In which he started giving roundabout answers. When he was brought to the post and searched, cash was found in the bag. He could neither present any document nor give any concrete information about the money during interrogation.
