Youth commits suicide by jumping into river by writing suicide note
Durg. A young man living in live in Durg district has committed suicide. He had jumped into the river to die. Apart from this, a suicide note has also been found from him. In which he has written that I am fed up with life. That’s why I am giving my life. The matter is of Jewra Sirsa Chowki area. Chandrashekhar Soni (32), originally a resident of Budhwari Bazar area of Korba, was living with his girlfriend Savitri Dewangan at Amapara in Durg for the last 4 years. He used to work in an eyeglass shop here. Savitri is also a resident of Korba.
It is being told that Chandrasekhar last spoke to his girlfriend on 19 July. Since then his phone was coming off. It is also learned that Chandrashekhar was very sad about the family. Meanwhile, on July 19, he had left the house with a bike. After this he reached the bridge built on Shivnath river near Dandesara. He kept the bike near Thakur Hotel and jumped from the bridge into the river. People standing nearby saw him jumping into the river. After which the matter was reported to the police. On getting the information, the police team reached the spot. Divers were also launched into the river to search for him. After which his body was found after about 2 days on Friday evening. After removing the dead body, the police searched his clothes and found a suicide note from it. In which he wrote that he has become very upset with his life and is committing suicide. He himself is responsible for this. Along with this, he had also written Savitri’s mobile number.
The police called on that number and called the girlfriend. Thereafter he identified the body as that of Chandrashekhar Soni. After the Panchnama action, the police conducted the post-mortem of the dead body and handed it over to the family members. Now the information about the whole matter has come to the fore on Sunday. The police is also questioning his girlfriend.
