Youth murdered due to property dispute, mother, daughter and brother arrested
Meerut (IANS). In Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, a 26-year-old youth was allegedly murdered by his younger brother by slitting his throat. Later, to make the murder look like suicide, the body of the deceased along with his mother and sister were hanged from the fan. The incident took place in Ashiana Colony street number-18 of Lohia Nagar police station area of Meerut district. Meerut Senior Superintendent of Police Rohit Singh Sajwan said that on October 8, the police had received a PCR call regarding the murder of a person. Police reached the spot and found the body of 26-year-old Shahzad hanging from a fan inside a house, whose throat was also slit with a sharp weapon. Police said the postmortem report revealed that Shehzad’s throat was first slit and then the body of the deceased was hanged from the fan to make it look like a suicide.
The SSP said that initial investigation revealed that accused Akram had a love marriage with a girl named Tarannum two years ago. Regarding which the deceased Shahzad used to protest. He told that there was a property dispute going on between Shahzad and Akram. Due to this dispute, Shahzad was allegedly murdered by his younger brother Akram. The accused has confessed to the crime of murder. Accused Akram told the police during interrogation that elder brother Shehzad had refused to give him his share in the property. Even after his repeated explanations, Shahzad was not agreeing. Therefore, he was murdered. To prevent the police from suspecting us, the body of the deceased was hanged from the fan with the help of mother Shabana and sister Gulshan to make the murder look like suicide. The ASP said that an FIR has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the IPC at Lohia Nagar Police Station and all three have been arrested. Further investigation is being done.
