Youth murdered with sharp weapon, 5 accused including teenager arrested
Rajnandgaon: Five accused who attacked with sharp weapons in Nandai Chowk of Basantpur area have been arrested. According to the police, a report was lodged by Savitri Bai Saiman at District Medical College, Rajnandgaon that her son Sonu Saiman was attacked with a sharp weapon by the accused Dipendra Gond alias Mashan, Rahul Vaishnav and Tarun Pawar and their other associates due to old rivalry on 19.09.2023 at around 11:30 pm. A person who has been admitted in the District Medical College Hospital and has been seriously injured in a fatal attack was registered under section 307, 34 of Indian Penal Code in Basantpur police station and investigated. Later on 21.09.2023 the injured Sonu Saiman died during treatment. On which Section 302 of Indian Penal Code was added by doing Marg Panchnama. As soon as the information about the incident was received on 20.09.2023, the police station in-charge Basantpur informed the senior police officers about the matter.
On which, on the instructions of Superintendent of Police Abhishek Meena, under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Rahul Dev Sharma and City Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar Patel, a joint team of Police Station Basantpur and Cyber Cell was immediately formed and sent to trace the accused, based on the information and information of the informer and cyber team. The accused were searched at the local police station level. Due to the promptness of the police, two accused were caught and three accused were absconding by train to escape to another state, which was caught by RPF. Thinking that Diya and Sonu Simon were dead, everyone ran away from there after getting the opportunity. Tarun Pawar, father Raju Pawar, age 22 years, near Sakin Shiv Temple, Nandai Chowk, Ward No. 48, Police Station Basantpur, District Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh. (03). Gaurav Yadav, father Deepak Yadav, age 19 years, near Panchmukhi temple, Nandai Chowk police station, Basantpur district, Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh. (04). Dipendra God alias Masan Father Anand God age 22 years Sakin Bengali Chal Rajnandgaon and (05). Success has been achieved in arresting the child who was in conflict with the law and also in recovering three sharp weapons used in the incident from the possession of the accused. Today all the accused are presented in the court on judicial remand.
