Youth ran away after looting gold garland from woman, case registered
Bilaspur. In Bilaspur, a woman who was out on a morning walk was plucking flowers, when a young man reached and robbed her of a gold garland while beating her with a stick. During this, on the noise of the woman, the young man ran towards the square. On the report of the woman, the police have registered a case of simple assault. The incident is of Sarkanda police station area.
Maniara Dubey (70) living in Jorapara is a housewife. His son Surendra Dubey runs a dairy shop in Nutan Chowk. The elderly woman goes for morning walk every morning and comes home plucking flowers on the way. Like everyday, she went out for a walk on Thursday morning around 3:30 am. She was plucking flowers after reaching the square. Only then a young man came to him and refused to pluck flowers and started abusing him.
During this, the young man started beating the woman with a stick and looted the gold garland from her neck. Seeing the antics of the young man, the woman started making noise, then the accused youth ran towards the square. The woman informed the people around this incident. Surendra also ran towards the square after hearing the cry of his mother. But, by then the youth had fled.
