Youths returning after seeing Meena market were beaten and robbed, 3 miscreants arrested
Raigarh: On September 8, three youths forcibly quarreled with youths who were returning after seeing the Meena Bazaar being operated under the Jute Mill police station area, and demanded money in exchange for taking a youth in a car and dropping him off. Taking prompt action in the case, Jutmil police arrested three miscreants involved in the crime, who have been produced on remand under sections of kidnapping and robbery and sent to jail.
According to the information, a report was lodged by Jaikishan Sidar, resident of village Adbahal police station Chakradharnagar, that on the night of 8th September, he had come by bike with his maternal uncles Swadhin Bhoi and Doleshwar Sidar to see Meena Bazaar. While returning home, around 8 pm, three boys came in a bike under the railway bridge and started unnecessarily threatening us by saying that we had caused an accident on our bike. At the same time, during a dispute, a boy looted 220 rupees kept in Jaikishan’s purse and his two other associates forcefully took away Jaikishan’s maternal uncle in a bike, saying that they will release him only if he gives the money and ran away in the bike. After some time, the same boys called and asked to release Jashkishan’s maternal uncle if he paid Rs 15,000 over the phone. During the search, Jashkishan’s maternal uncle was found near Bade Atramuda bridge. Considering the seriousness of the matter, a crime under sections of kidnapping and robbery was registered against the mobile holders demanding ransom in Jutmil police station.
After extracting the mobile details of the accused, the team immediately led by TI Jutmil Ram Kinkar Yadav raided the three accused – (1) Chandresh Chauhan alias Nandi Chauhan, father Shauki Lal Chauhan, age 24 years, resident of Darri Talab, Rajeev Gandhinagar police station Jutmil Raigarh (2) Mohammad Shabbir Khan, father. Mohammad Shagir Khan, age 25 years, resident of Panjriplant, Chakradharnagar district, Raigarh (3) Tarun Sidar, father Suresh Sidar, age 19 years, resident of Darri Talab, Rajiv Gandhi Nagar police station, Jutmil Raigarh, were detained. The accused have confessed to looting the money by forcibly quarreling with the youth who had come to see the fair over the issue of causing an accident. The motorcycle used in the incident and their mobile have been seized from the accused, the accused have been sent to jail on judicial remand today. TI Ram Kinkar Yadav along with Assistant Sub Inspector Bhagirathi Chaudhary, Head Constable Dildar Qureshi, Constable Lakheshwar Purseth, Shashibhushad Sahu played an important role in the identification and arrest of the accused.
