YouTuber entered the field to make a video during the match, young man injured due to collision
Udaipur. During the state level blind cricket competition at Gandhi Maidan in Udaipur city, a major accident occurred due to the negligence of the hosts in blindfolding them. As part of the competition, a match was held on Sunday between RCB, Ajmer and Blind School, Ajmer. Meanwhile, a young man playing a video on social media entered the field against the rules. Hearing the sound of the ball, RCB team’s visually impaired cricketer Bhavesh Desai (33) ran and collided with the young man. The neck got twisted due to falling on the head.
The player immediately woke up and became normal, but his health deteriorated in the evening. He was admitted to the ICU of the neuro ward of MB Hospital. He has suffered serious injury to his spinal cord. According to doctors, due to this the part below the waist becomes inactive.
The competition was organized under the aegis of RCA for the Blind and Rotary Club Mira. Sangeeta Mundra, president of the host Rotary Club Mira, said Bhavesh was taken to the hospital immediately after the incident. Organizer Sushma Kumawat held Bhavesh responsible for the accident.
She said- Bhavesh had fever. Still did not tell anyone and went to the field. Father Narayan Lal Rebari told that Bhavesh’s condition is critical. RCA Blind Secretary Islam Ali says that a report has been sought from the organizer. We are blind. We don’t know who is coming and who is leaving the field. The matter is serious, yet the date of MRI was given after two days:
Bhavesh’s brother Deepak, who reached the hospital on Sunday night, said that from the time of his arrival till 7 pm on Monday, no one came from the organizers. Doctors are saying that until the MRI is done, proper treatment cannot begin. At the same time, despite it being a serious case, the hospital has given the date of January 31 for MRI.
Family members say that if the organizers had wanted, they could have got the MRI done from a private lab also. Bhavesh Desai has suffered a spinal cord injury. He has been admitted to the neuro ward. This type of patient cannot be allowed to walk. This causes more problems.
For this reason MRI was not done. Still, if needed, we will get it done.’ The three-day competition concluded on January 29. The final took place between Bhavesh’s team RCB Ajmer and NVS Royal Club Jodhpur. RCB team was victorious. Program coordinators Shraddha Gattani and Sushma Kumawat told that the RCB team gave a target of 79 runs. Jodhpur team could score only 42 runs.
