Many Naxalites arrested from Konta and Bhejji forest

Sukma. Security forces have carried out a major operation against the Naxalites active in the Konta and Bhejji areas of the district. In the joint operation, six Naxalites associated with the Konta Area Committee have been arrested, out of which a reward was also declared on two.

Of the two Naxalites caught from the Konta police station area, a reward of Rs 2 lakh was declared on one and Rs 1 lakh on the other. Both these Naxalites have been involved in the firing incident at a polling station during the assembly elections in the year 2023 and the murder of villager Tati Budhra of Gangrajpad in the year 2024.

At the same time, the security forces have also recovered explosive material from the Naxalites arrested from Bhejji police station area, which strengthens the possibility of a major conspiracy.
