1.5 lakh withdrawn from woman’s bank account, fraud arrested

Bhanupratappur. A 60-year-old woman from Janwartara village had gone to Lokesh Netam’s shop Janwartara to check her account balance. The accused had got the applicant’s Aadhaar card number and account information stamped in a machine, after which the amount was withdrawn from the applicant’s account.

On the report of the applicant, the police arrested the accused today and produced him in the court, from where he was sent to jail. Accused Lokesh Netam was found to have withdrawn a total of Rs 149,000 from the applicant’s account at different times by extracting the statement from the bank, registering the crime at Charama police station and taking it into consideration.
