10 injured after coming in contact with high tension wire during Muharram procession
Gopalganj: At least 10 people were injured when some people participating in a procession on the ninth day of Moharram came under the grip of a high tension wire in Uchagaon police station area of Bihar’s Gopalganj district. The condition of all the injured is being told out of danger.
According to the police, on Friday, many youths of Harpur Safi Tola village participated in the Tajia procession with sticks, sticks, tree branches and green bamboo in their hands. The procession was going towards the village of Dharmachak for Milan. It is told that during this time, as soon as the youth moved towards Dharmachak village, the branch of a green tree and green bamboo came in contact with the 11,000 KVA electric wire passing from above. Due to this, more than ten youths suddenly fainted and fell on the road and got injured.
After this incident, a situation of chaos arose in the area. All the injured were sent to Sadar Hospital for treatment. After getting information about the accident, District Magistrate Dr. Naval Kishore Chaudhary and Superintendent of Police Swarna Prabhat reached Sadar Hospital.
The officials took information from the doctors about the treatment of the victims. Learn about the incident from the scorched people also. The DM said that the administration was not informed about the procession, due to which the power supply was not disconnected. The condition is normal. All the injured are out of danger.
