16 killed in bus-truck collision

Mexico City (IANS). At least 16 people were killed and 36 others were injured in a collision between a bus and a truck in the Mexican city of Puebla. This information has been received from the local media.

The Oaxaca Attorney General’s Office (FGEO) said in a statement that eight men, seven women and a girl were among the dead, the Mexico news daily reported.

The incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday when the bus rammed into a truck.

The injured were taken to Tehuacan General Hospital and other medical centers.

Puebla’s interior department posted on social media that it was “in constant contact with the authorities to support the victims of this regrettable incident”.
