260 drivers sent to court, violating traffic rules
Dhamtari: Police Traffic Inspector Khemraj Sahu, Prar. Peman Sahu reached Kendriya Vidyalaya Loharsi for safe travel of school children and conducted surprise inspection. In which documents and safety equipment of more than 20 autos, vans, magic vehicles were checked. All drivers were told not to seat more school children than capacity, not to drive vehicles at high speed, not to stop vehicles on the road to let children get on and off, to park vehicles at safe places and get on and off, to stop until children enter school or home.
It was told that first aid box and fire extinguishers should be kept compulsorily in vehicles, no extra plank should be used for children to sit, nets should be installed on both sides of auto rickshaws for the safety of children, it should be ensured that the net on the right side is fixed and the net on the left side is temporary, ‘On School Duty’ should be written on the front and back of auto rickshaws.
And by giving information about traffic rules, they have been advised to follow the rules. If the rules are not followed, action will be taken under Motor Vehicle Rules. To promote road safety and make the drivers follow traffic rules, all the police stations and outposts of the district are running special campaigns and action is being taken against drivers who violate traffic rules. Under the special campaign, action has been taken against 260 vehicles for driving without license, three passengers without helmet, not presenting documents on the spot, driving without number plate and they have been sent to the court.
