Bengaluru: In an inhumane act, students of classes VII to IX of Morarji Desai Residential School in Yeluvahalli in Kolar district were forced to clean septic tanks on December 1. This incident came to light after a picture was taken on Saturday night. Spread rapidly.

Kolar Superintendent of Police M Narayan said a case was registered against the four after Srinivas lodged a complaint. “Visited the school and spoke to the students. “Assistant Superintendent of Police Mallesh has been assigned to conduct a detailed investigation,” he said.
When the news spread, parents reached the school and expressed their dissatisfaction towards the officials. Social Welfare Minister HC Mahadevappa said he would take strict action against the officials involved besides registering a criminal case. He said he sent senior officials to the school to investigate and inform. Home Minister G Parameshwara said that a detailed investigation will be conducted.
