BCA student attacked with knife near college campus, case registered against 6 people
Mangaluru. Mohammed Unais, a 20-year-old final year BCA student, was allegedly attacked with a knife near a private college campus in Ballalbagh area on Saturday. The student seriously injured in the attack has been admitted to Wenlock District Hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case against six people in connection with the incident and started investigation. According to preliminary information, Unais was attacked while intervening in a dispute between students.
The injured student has been identified as Mohammed Unais, 20, resident of Mittabagilu in Belthangady taluk. He is a final year BCA student in a private college in Ballalbagh area. Ryan, a resident of Katipalla, who is studying B.Com first year in the same college, has been named the main accused in the case. It is alleged that Ryan along with his five associates attacked Unais.
The incident is of Saturday. According to the information, Unais had gone to a turf to play Kabaddi. He was returning after the game was over. Meanwhile, he saw a dispute taking place between his friends Raiz and Ryan on the road near the turf. Seeing the argument escalating between the two, Unais and some other students present there intervened to calm the matter.
