Villagers beat up teacher who ran away with his minor student

Berhampur: In a horrifying incident, a school teacher was thrashed by some locals for allegedly eloping with his minor student in Odisha’s Ganjam district.

However, after the student returned home, Das went to the school to teach. However, angry locals, aware of the incident, caught him, tied him to bamboo and beat him.

After the video of the incident went viral, Sheragada police reached the village and rescued the teacher. The police have also started investigating the incident.
