The man who killed more than 300 cats became sad, closed the restaurant
Hanoi: A Vietnamese man who killed more than 300 cats in a month has closed his restaurant out of pain over the suffering he causes while killing cats. Pham Quoc Doan reportedly tore down the sign advertising cat meat, or Thit Meo, outside his Gia Bao restaurant and closed the eatery.
According to the Humane Society International, Pham slaughtered about 300 cats every month for the Quoc Don soup recipe. However, after taking pity on the innocent animal, he closed the restaurant. At least 20 cats and kittens were rescued and given to local adoption agencies.
Talking about his restaurant, Donah said that the income he earned from selling normal food items was not enough to support his family. Just then, he decided to introduce this mayo because no other restaurant nearby was serving this recipe.
Donah’s business boomed after introducing cat meat. He told that he caught the cats with a stick and drowned them in a bucket of water. However, after feeling sorry for their suffering during the slaughter, he decided to close his business.
The father of two now says he feels more at peace in his mind and is happy he will no longer be killing animals. He would supply many products like drinks, tobacco, sweets, dry food like instant noodles to earn money to take care of his family.
