Hyderabad: A student died in a fight over a Facebook post in a madrasa
Hyderabad: A student died at a madrassa in Puppalaguda, Narsingi on Thursday night in a fight allegedly caused by a publication on Facebook. A 17-year-old student from Bihar, studying in a madrassa, had recently published a photo on his Facebook page in which his classmates were seen. However, according to Narsinghi police, some of his school friends believed that the publication was a lack of respect. Upon entering the publication, the victim, Mohammed Rakim (17), had a heated argument with whoever had published it. The confrontation escalated and the teenager physically attacked Rakim. According to reports, he attacked Rakim, leaving scratches on his neck and face. According to reports, during the fight he slipped and fell from the first floor of the madrasa building. Later, Rakim was immediately shifted to Golconda area hospital, where the doctor on guard declared him brought dead. Based on the complaint of madrassa professor Mohammad Nazimul Haq, Narsingi police have registered a case under section 304-II of the IPC for culpable homicide and are investigating. There are conflicting reports regarding the incident, with some claiming that Rahim fell during physical education class, while others suggesting that he was pushed or fell during a fight. Meanwhile, to complicate the situation, the victim’s family alleged that the youth was killed in an attack by madrassa personnel. Several allegations have added another layer to the investigation as the police try to unearth the truth behind Rahim’s untimely death.
