Hyderabad: Pedestrian dies in road accident in Pocharam

Hyderabad: A car hit a pedestrian crossing the road, killing him in Pocharam on the outskirts of the city on Sunday evening. Boddu Giri Babu (38), a resident of Ghatkesar, was crossing the road when a car headed towards Uppal hit him near the NTPC crossing.

He was thrown in the air and fell on the roadside. He sustained serious injuries in the accident and was rushed to a local hospital, where he was later shifted to Gandhi Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, Pocharam police said. The car fled from the spot without stopping. Police have registered a case and are trying to trace the vehicle and the driver.
