Hyderabad: ‘Biwi Ka Alam’ procession, traffic diversion
Hyderabad: Hyderabad Traffic Police on Wednesday announced traffic diversions between 12 noon and 10 pm in view of the Bibi Ka Alam procession in the old city. Vehicles will not be allowed towards Bibi-Ka-Alwa at Sunargali ‘T’ junction and will be diverted towards Dabeerpura Darwaza and Ganga Nagar Nallah, and vehicles towards Sheikh Faiz Kaman will not be allowed and will be diverted towards Jabbar Hotel. Vehicles from Ethebar Chowk will not be allowed towards Bara Bazar and will be diverted towards Kotla Aliza or Purana Haveli. When the main procession reaches Ganga Nagar Nallah, vehicles from Purana Haveli will not be allowed towards Etebar Chowk and will be diverted towards Chatta Bazaar, Dabeerpura or SJ Rotary. Vehicles from Moghalpura and Volta Hotel will be diverted to Bibi Bazar X Road and vehicles from Mitti-Ka-Sher and Madina will be diverted towards Gulzar House. When the procession reaches Kotla Alija, traffic from Moghalpura Water Tank will be diverted from Hafiz Danka Masjid towards Paris Cafe or Bibi Bazar, and from Shakkarkot it will be diverted at Mitti-Ka-Sher junction. Traffic from Nayapul will not be allowed to proceed towards Charminar and will be diverted from Madina X Road to City College and when the procession reaches Miralam Mandi, traffic from Chaderghat Rotary, Noor Khan Bazaar, Salarjung Museum and Shivaji Bridge will be diverted from Salarjung Rotary to Nayapul, Shivaji Bridge and Noorkhan Bazaar. Apart from the procession reaching Sartak, traffic from Chaderghat Rotary will not be allowed to proceed towards Kali Khabar and will be diverted from Chaderghat Rotary to Rangmahal or Koti via Chaderghat Bridge, and traffic from Gowliguda or Afzalganj will be diverted at Salar Jung/Shivaji Bridge entrance to Gowliguda via Afzalganj and Gowliguda.
Apart from the procession, on reaching Sartak, traffic will not be allowed towards SJ Rotary and will be diverted via Nayapul towards Madina. APSRTC/TGSRTC district buses will be diverted towards Rangmahal and Afzalgunj for entry and exit from 10 am to 9 pm and will not be allowed on Kalikabar and Miralam Mandi Road till the procession reaches its destination. In Secunderabad, traffic going towards Karbala Maidan from Tank Bund will be diverted via Children Park towards Kavadiguda, Bible House and RP Road. Traffic going towards Karbala Maidan from RP Road will be diverted from Traffic Island near Bible House (via) Kavadiguda X Road. Mahatma Gandhi Road between Central Telegraph Island and Raniganj will be one way towards Raniganj.
