Punjab: Deep Sidhu’s brother will contest the by-election
Punjab: Tarsem Singh, father of Faridkot MP Sarabjit Singh Khalsa and Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh, today declared Mandeep Singh Sidhu as their candidate for the Gidderbaha bypoll. Mandeep is the younger brother of actor-activist and founder chief of “Waris Punjab De” organisation Sandeep Singh alias Deep Sidhu. Speaking to the media, Sarabjit said, “Mandeep is our younger brother and we have declared him as our candidate for the Gidderbaha bypoll.” When asked whether Sukhraj Singh, son of Behbal Kalan firing victim Krishna Bhagwan Singh, will also contest the bypoll, Sarabjit said, “We will talk to him. No party has a better candidate than Mandeep.” Lawyer Mandeep originally hails from Udekaran village in Muktsar district. He currently lives in Ludhiana. He has been visiting the constituency for the last few days.
