Priyanka Gandhi took oath as MP, one more Gandhi in Parliament
New Delhi: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took oath as MP in Lok Sabha.
Three people of Gandhi family seen in Parliament
Three people of Gandhi family are seen in Parliament. Rahul Gandhi, who won from Rae Bareli, is in Lok Sabha while Sonia Gandhi is already present in Rajya Sabha. With Priyanka coming to Lok Sabha, the number of MPs of Gandhi family has increased by one more. In the by-election of Wayanad, the Congress General Secretary has won by a margin of more than 4.1 lakh votes.
Priyanka Gandhi was born on 12 January 1972 in New Delhi. Her schooling started from Welham Girls School in Dehradun. But after the death of Indira Gandhi in 1984, she had to leave her studies midway and completed her schooling from Convent of Jesus and Mary School in Delhi till 1989 due to security reasons. Priyanka obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Delhi University in 1993. In 2010, he obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Buddhist Studies through distance education from the University of Sunderland, UK.
