Case registered against prisoner who tried to escape from Goa jail

Panaji (IANS) | The Goa Police on Thursday registered an FIR against an undertrial prisoner who tried to escape from Bardej’s Colvale jail. Deputy Superintendent of Police Jivba Dalvi said that the complaint was lodged by Jailor Mukund Gawas.

The undertrial had tried to escape on Wednesday but was caught.

Police said, when the prisoners were brought for free movement in the new entry block, the accused person Pradeep Khalko tried to escape by climbing over the compound wall by taking support of ground floor terrace and gate.
