Many types of food dishes are made from the corn that comes out in the rain. Tasty paratha is also made from nutritious maize. Maize paratha is not only tasty but also beneficial for health. Rich in fiber, maize helps in keeping the digestive system healthy. Maize parantha can be made and eaten for breakfast. If you like fried dishes, then corn paratha can also be a great option.
Nowadays sweet corn is available in the market throughout the year, although there is a different feeling of eating corn during the rainy days. If you have never made corn paratha, then you can make it very easily with the help of our recipe.
Ingredients for making Corn Paratha
Wheat flour – 1 cup
Sweet Corn (Bhutta) – 1
Green chili chopped – 1 tsp
Coriander leaves chopped – 2 tbsp
Ajwain – 1/4 tsp
salt – as per taste
Corn Paratha Recipe
To make tasty and nutritious corn paratha, first roast it and grate it so that all the pulp is removed. Now put flour in a big bowl and add sweet corn pulp to it and mix both well. After this, finely chop green chillies and green coriander and mix them in a bowl. Then add celery and salt as per taste and knead the dough by adding water little by little.
Keep in mind that the dough should be a little hard. After kneading the dough, cover it and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes. Due to this the dough will puff up and set. When the dough is ready, knead it again by applying a little oil and knead the dough. Now take a dough and roll it in the shape of a parantha. After this, heat a non-stick pan on medium heat. When the griddle is hot, spread some oil on it.
Now put the bella parantha on the griddle and let it cook for a minute. After this apply some oil on the edges of the paratha and turn the paratha. After this, apply oil on the parantha and fry the parantha from both the sides till it becomes golden brown and crisp. After this, take out the parantha in a plate. Prepare parathas in the same way from all the batter. Tasty and healthy Corn Paratha is ready for breakfast. It can be served with vegetable or chutney.
