Raichur (Karnataka): A video of a girl student being thrown in the air and falling 15 feet after being hit by a speeding Jaguar car in Karnataka’s Raichur has gone viral on social media. People are surprised to see this video. The Karnataka Police has swung into action and recommended suspension of the driving license of the driver. Police is also initiating legal action against the bike driver who took a careless U-turn, which led to the accident. According to the police, the incident took place on July 18 in front of Ram Mandir on Railway Station Road. The 34-second video footage shows the bike rider taking a U-turn without noticing the speeding car coming from behind.
To avoid hitting the bike, the car driver takes extreme left and loses control. However, the vehicle hit the bike and also hit three girl students who were walking on the side of the road.
One of the girls falls on the spot and the other is thrown in the air and falls 15 feet away from the spot. Both the girl students miraculously survived with only minor injuries. Police said that the leg of the bike rider was fractured. The bike rider has been identified as Shivraj Patil. The girls are Sivamangala, a resident of Boomnagunda near Devdurga town, and Jyoti from Bevinoru village in Siriwara taluk. The doctors who conducted the preliminary examination have said that both are safe and have not suffered any internal injuries. The police have launched a search for the owner of the Jaguar car, Mohammad Sharif, who is missing since the incident. Police investigation has revealed that he is the third owner of the vehicle. The car has been seized.
