Anantnag encounter: Army’s major operation continues, number of martyred soldiers reaches 4
Anantnag: The countdown has started for the terrorists who murdered three army and police officers and one soldier in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces have surrounded the terrorists who had taken shelter under the cover of the hill. The number of these terrorists is said to be 2 to 3. Terrorists are being monitored with quadcopters and drones. Para commandos have also been deployed. Firing is also taking place from both sides. The security forces have made it clear that these terrorists will not be spared at any cost. Actually, on Tuesday, security forces had received information about some terrorists hiding in Kokarnag of Anantnag. After this a search operation was conducted. It was stopped as it was night on Tuesday. On Wednesday, security forces had started a search operation against the terrorists. The security forces had surrounded the terrorists. As soon as the security forces officials reached the place where the terrorists were hiding, the terrorists opened fire indiscriminately, after which the encounter started. During this, Army Colonel Manpreet Singh, Major Ashish and Jammu and Kashmir Police DSP Humayun Bhat were shot. The injured officers were hurriedly airlifted by helicopter, but these officers could not be saved. A soldier who was injured on Wednesday also died on Thursday. TRF, a branch of terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, has taken responsibility for this terrorist incident. It is being told that terrorist Uzair, who has a bounty of Rs 10 lakh, is involved in this attack. Security forces have surrounded 2-3 terrorists including Uzair. The terrorists have taken cover in the hills. The army is taking the help of helicopters, quadcopters and drones to trace the location of terrorists. A large number of special forces teams have been deployed. Security forces have surrounded the area where the terrorists are hiding. It is being told that the same terrorist module which had attacked 5 Army soldiers in Poonch in April, has carried out the Anantnag attack. This new terrorist module formed by combining Lashkar and Jaish terrorists has been active in the valley for 6 months. Jammu and Kashmir Police tweeted on Thursday, “A true tribute to the unwavering bravery of Colonel Manpreet Singh, Major Ashish and DSP Humayun Bhat, who sacrificed their lives while leading from the front during this ongoing operation.” Our forces are engaged with determination to surround both the Lashkar terrorists including Uzair Khan. Uzair Khan is a terrorist with a bounty of Rs 10 lakh. It is active in the valley since July 2022. A large number of security forces have camped in the forests of Kokarnag. The search operation in the forests was resumed on Thursday morning. Three explosions were heard from the encounter area early Thursday morning. DGP Dilbagh Singh said that we have surrounded the terrorists. They will not be spared. Our soldiers are making every effort to end the operation soon. All new generation weapons and equipment are being used in this operation. From drones to helicopters are being used.
