8 lakh cash recovered, interrogation of driver of private vehicle continues
Bilaspur. The checking campaign has intensified as soon as the election code of conduct came into force in Chhattisgarh. In this series, police have seized lakhs of rupees in cash during checking in Bilaspur district. The matter is of Sarkanda police station area. It is being told that after the instructions of the Election Commission, on the instructions of Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh (BJP), under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Rajendra Jaiswal and City Superintendent of Police (City Kotwali) Pooja Kumar, in Sipat Road of Sarkanda police station area. A surprise checking point was set up. Under the leadership of police station in-charge Jai Prakash Gupta, Rs 8 lakh in cash was found in a private vehicle during checking at Sipat Road, Badhrai Chowk. Police seized Rs 8 lakh as no valid document was produced on the spot regarding the amount. Also, the police is interrogating the person from whom the cash has been recovered. At present, the checking campaign will continue in Sarkanda police station area.
