Congress focuses on engaging the youth to bolster its grassroots support
HYDERABAD: The Congress party has initiated a strategic approach aimed at strengthening its grassroots presence in preparation for the upcoming assembly elections. This endeavor involves a series of training camps organized by the party, with a primary focus on honing the skills of its members.
These training camps are structured into several distinct modules, including legal, social, training, and research. Among these modules, the training component holds paramount significance in the context of the impending electoral battle. During these training sessions, party cadres receive comprehensive instruction on election rules and regulations, equipping them with a thorough understanding of the intricacies involved. Furthermore, cadres are encouraged to engage with households, dedicating at least 15 minutes to each during their campaign efforts. Central to this initiative is the recognition of the vital role played by young voters and families who have yet to benefit from government welfare programs.
To connect with the younger demographic, party cadres have been tasked with enhancing their presence on social media platforms, particularly WhatsApp. This involves regular updates to their WhatsApp statuses, the creation of broadcast lists to give messages a personalized touch, and their widespread dissemination through the WhatsApp platform.
Kummari Srikanth, a prominent figure within the Congress, emphasized, “To earn the trust of voters, we must integrate ourselves as part of their extended family. I urge our booth agents to become an integral part of every local family, not just for this election but to cultivate enduring and amicable relationships for the future.
