Bengaluru Metro Rail will introduce mobile QR tickets
Bengaluru: Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) on Saturday said it will introduce mobile QR tickets for the benefit of families and groups traveling together from November 16.
Currently, mobile QR tickets are being issued through mobile applications (Namma Metro, Paytm, WhatsApp and Yatra) to a single passenger for one journey.

However, based on demand, BMRCL is introducing mobile QR tickets for a maximum of six passengers from November 16 to facilitate families and groups traveling together, officials said.
According to officials, there is a 5 percent discount on token fare on mobile QR tickets. A passenger using this facility will receive a single QR ticket encrypted with the passenger number.
For use this QR ticket has to be scanned once by each passenger in the group for entry and exit.
Officials said passengers are encouraged to book mobile QR tickets in advance at their convenience at home or office and avoid queuing up at ticket counters to purchase tokens.
