Hyderabad: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s election rally to be held in Hyderabad on Saturday, the Congress party has put up new hoardings mocking him and his two other rivals.
The hoardings featured the Prime Minister along with Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President K. Chandrashekhar Rao and Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi have been shown being used as puppets. The Congress party has installed “puppets” at key locations including HITEC City. Congress leaders have earlier also been accusing BRS and MIM of colluding with the BJP.
During the last few weeks in Telangana, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in all his rallies alleged that BRS and MIM are the B and C teams of the BJP. Modi is scheduled to address a public meeting at the Parade Ground in Secunderabad in the evening.
Voting for 119 seats of Telangana Assembly is to be held on November 30. BRS is hoping to return to power for the third consecutive time. It has a direct fight with Congress in the state.
MIM has friendly relations with BRS. The party is contesting elections on nine seats. All these seats are in Hyderabad. The rest of the state is supporting the ruling party.
