A man shot a woman dead and later committed suicide.

Shahjahanpur: On Tuesday, a man allegedly shot a woman and then committed suicide in what appears to be a virtual suicide, police said. Police said they were locked inside a room in Tendulia village under police commissionerate area of Nigohi. He told that Rama Yadav (21) was the younger brother of Mukesh Yadav (30). Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Meena, citing information provided by family members and neighbours, told PTI that prima facie it appeared that the two were in a relationship. The SP said, police found the door of the room locked from inside and after forcing force, Ram was found dead in the room. He said, when the police reached the spot, Mukesh turned out to be a hero, but he died during treatment in the hospital. According to family members, the entire family had gone to a wedding ceremony and no one knew when Mukesh and Rama returned. They also recovered a pistol from an illegal place and suspect that the man first shot the woman and then shot himself, Meena said. He said that the police have taken possession of the dead bodies and sent them for post-mortem.
