Accused who raped minor arrested
Janjgir Champa. The incident of rape of a minor has been carried out in Janjgir Champa district. Police have arrested the accused from Maharashtra on rape charges. The accused Gajendra Kumar Dhiwar had lured the minor and took him away. The entire matter is of Champa police station area. According to the police, the accused took her to Pune, Maharashtra and committed the rape. The police have recovered the minor from Pune, Maharashtra. The accused has also been caught from there. The minor has been handed over to the family. According to the information received, the parents of the minor had informed the Champa police station that on 27.7.2023, their son had gone to school in the morning, after which she did not return home in the evening.
After this a search was conducted nearby. Relatives and friends were interrogated, but nothing was found. The parents had lodged a report of kidnapping by some unknown person. A case was registered under section 363 of the Indian Penal Code at Champa police station and investigation was started. After 5 months, the police found clues about the accused and the kidnapped minor in Pune. Police station in-charge Manish Parihar said that accused Gajendra Dhiwar was taken into custody and interrogated. The accused has accepted his crime. The accused has been sent on judicial remand under Section 376 (2) (n) 4,6 of the POCSO Act. Action has been taken against the accused under the POCSO Act.
