Action on 2 DJ vehicles, police seized
Bilaspur: The district police has started strictly following the order of the High Court. Hirri police yesterday seized two DJ vehicles under the Noise Act. In recent days, a total of 40 vehicles have been seized and fined. Now these vehicles will be directly taken over by the state. Use of DJ and loudspeakers is prohibited from 10 pm to 6 am. The High Court has directed to stop uncontrolled use of mobile DJ and loudspeakers. People are continuously receiving complaints against such DJs. On the complaint of citizens under Hirri police station area, action was taken against two DJ vehicles.
During Ganesh Visarjan, the District Administration, Police, Municipal Corporation and Transport Department conducted a joint campaign and 38 mobile DJs were deployed there. They have been seized while doing so. The police and traffic department imposed a fine of more than Rs 5 lakh 70 thousand on them under sections of Noise Act and Motor Vehicle Act. Many Rajsat are in process.
