All-round development of Scheduled Tribes is the priority of our government: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai
Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today attended the felicitation ceremony and general meeting of the newly elected MLAs of the tribal community organized by the Scheduled Tribe Government Servant Development Association at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in the capital Raipur. Chief Minister Sai started the function by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, the Chief Minister was welcomed by all the tribal communities by wearing a garland and turban and singing a traditional tribal welcome song.
Addressing the function on this occasion, Shri Sai said that today is 18th December. Hearty congratulations to all of you on Baba Guru Ghasidas Jayanti. Most revered Baba Guru Ghasidas ji showed a new path to all of us by giving the message of equality between likes and equals to the society. Today, it is a matter of good fortune for our society that in Chhattisgarh, which has about 32 percent Scheduled Tribe population and where everyone expected that a tribal should become the Chief Minister, this expectation of our tribal society has been fulfilled by the famous Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi.
Sai said that today because of our Prime Minister, our country is being celebrated all over the world. Today, Mrs. Draupadi Murmu ji of our tribal community is occupying the post of His Excellency the President of the country. Chhattisgarh state was created by our former Prime Minister, respected Atal Bihari Vajpayee, so that the Scheduled Tribe people here could have proper social and economic development. So that there could be all-round development of the Scheduled Tribes, he also formed the Tribal Welfare Department for the first time in the Government of India. Our government cares most about the Scheduled Tribe community.
Sai said that it is our responsibility to fulfill whatever promise we have made to the people of Chhattisgarh under Modi’s guarantee by taking the pledge of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. Our government itself has made announcements in the interest of every section of the society including the announcement of purchasing paddy at Rs 12 thousand per quintal for mothers and sisters under Mahtari Vandan Yojana and announcement of purchase of paddy at Rs 3100 per quintal in the interest of farmers. He said that we had promised to provide housing to the poor, we fulfilled it. We took oath on 13th December and on 14th December, first of all, the cabinet decided to provide houses to 18 lakh beneficiaries.
