Bareilly: ‘Husband forcibly makes relations’: When things went wrong after marriage, the married woman reached the police station.
A woman resident of a village in Bheera police station area of Lakhimpur Kheri accused her husband of forcibly having physical relations. In the complaint given to the police, the married woman also accused him of demanding additional dowry and beating her. The matter is said to be a dispute between husband and wife. The Police is investigating.
In the complaint given to the police, a village resident woman told that she was married a year ago. After marriage, husband and in-laws started demanding additional dowry. If their demand for bullets and other items is not met, they beat them. The married woman also accused her husband of forcibly having sex.
Husband beats her when she protests
The woman says that the husband forcibly has physical relations with her against her will. Beats on protest. He was beaten up on Friday. On this the married woman reached the police station and complained. Bhira police station incharge Nirala Tiwari said that a complaint has been received. When police was sent and investigation was done, it was found that there was an altercation and scuffle between the husband and wife.
The victim called a person from her maternal side and lodged a complaint on his request. When the victim was asked for medical treatment, she refused. On this she was sent to the women’s police station. It was also advised to meet the District Probation Officer. It is possible that a compromise agreement can be reached between the two during counselling.
