BJP candidate’s convoy attacked, heavy police force deployed in the area
Shivpuri: Some people attacked the convoy of BJP candidate Pritam Lodhi and his supporters in Pichor assembly constituency of Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh. Stones were also pelted.
It has been told that BJP candidate Pritam Lodhi had a public relations meeting in Kararkheda village on Sunday. This village is the home village of KP Singh, Congress candidate from Shivpuri and currently MLA from Pichor. As soon as Pritam Lodhi reached this village, there was a dispute over sloganeering. After this some people pelted stones at BJP supporting leaders.
More than a dozen vehicles have been damaged in this stone pelting and many people have been injured. After this stone pelting, a stampede occurred. There is a tense atmosphere at Pichhore assembly seat at present.
Arvind Lodhi, a special supporter of Congress MLA KP Singh, is contesting from this seat. Whereas BJP has fielded Pritam Lodhi for the third time here. Pritam Lodhi has lost the last two elections from here to KP Singh of Congress. Pritam Lodhi had given a tough competition to KP Singh of Congress in the 2018 elections.
After the incident of stone pelting and attack during BJP’s public relations campaign in Kararkheda, BJP candidate Pritam Lodhi alleged that Congress is upset after its defeat on this seat. He said that about a dozen vehicles were damaged in this attack and many workers were injured.
After this incident of stone pelting, people from both sides gathered at Pichor police station and demanded action from the police. After this incident, heavy police force has been deployed in the area.
