BRS Leader Jeedipally Ram Reddy Criticizes Government Over Crop Purchase Neglect

Thoguta, April 30: Thoguta Mandal BRS Party President Jeedipally Ram Reddy criticized the Congress government that came to power under the slogan of public administration and is harassing farmers, starting from urea to procurement. Protesting the non-purchase of paddy rice in the Thoguta Agricultural Market for the last 15 days and the slow pace of maize grain purchases, a protest was held in front of the Thoguta Market under the auspices of the BRS Party, wearing black flags.

Speaking on this occasion, he said that in Warangal, they cheated by making empty promises in the name of farmer declaration. He criticized that farmers had to go through a lot of trouble for urea and that they had to apply for an app to get urea. He said that even though crops were grown in the Mandu tents, they were neglected in purchasing them. He said that the government lacked foresight on the problems of farmers and that there was a prior plan for purchasing crops during the KCR regime.

Is public administration just about locking the gate?

He said that despite purchasing 4900 quintals of paddy in the Thoguta market, the farmers did not get a single paisa. He said that up to 50 tons of paddy has been sold in the market in the last 15 days, and what will the state government do if the central government’s target is met, he questioned. He said that purchasing paddy in the entire state in B grade means cheating the farmers. Former society chairman K Harikrishna Reddy questioned whether public administration is to lock the gate if the paddy is brought to the market.

He demanded that farmers should start purchasing immediately as they are fed up with the electricity, urea and purchase prices under the Congress rule. On this occasion, they raised slogans against the government’s negligent attitude. The police, led by SI Ravikanth Rao, broke up the agitation after vehicles came to a standstill due to road blockade. Later, they presented a petition to the Ambedkar statue protesting the government’s negligent attitude.
