Bus burnt to ashes in fire accident
Hyderabad. A Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus was gutted in a fire accident at a depot in Jagtial district on Sunday. The bus caught fire after it was filled with diesel by the employees at Korutla Bus Depot premises. However, there were no casualties.
The bus operating between Korutla-Hyderabad reached the depot in the afternoon and the depot staff filled the vehicle with diesel.
The bus suddenly caught fire when it was standing near a petrol pump after refueling.
After being alerted by the depot officials, fire service personnel reached the spot and brought the fire under control. The bus was completely burnt to ashes. However, the fire did not spread to the fuel station, which could have caused a major accident.
TSRTC officials said there was a possibility of fire due to short circuit in the battery.(IANS)
